We spent the weekend in the Call of Duty open beta with the GameXPro crew, and the verdict: we had a blast — even if it’s clearly still being tuned.
Fast, and fun again
It’s fast-paced in the best way, and somehow it made knifing and shields fun again. Pulling the knife actually feels viable, and the riot shield went from a meme to something you genuinely have to respect.
The maps
The maps felt really nice — plenty of lanes, plenty to do, and lots of little spots to play around with. There’s always an angle to work or an objective to push.
One warning
A word to the wise: watch for the train. If you’re not paying attention it’ll flatten you mid-gunfight and end your streak instantly. You’ve been warned. 🚂💀
Still cooking
It’s a beta, so there are rough edges and balancing left to do — but the core feels good and we’re into it. Hop in the Discord and squad up with the crew for the next session.
