GameXPro (“GameXPro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) runs a gaming community, servers, events and an online store at gamexpro.com. We take a simple approach to privacy: we collect as little personal information as possible, and we don’t store anything we don’t genuinely need. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
GameXPro is an independent gaming community. Our website runs on WordPress and WooCommerce, which are widely used, actively maintained platforms. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for WordPress, Automattic, or the security of those underlying platforms — we simply build on top of them and keep our site updated. Likewise, the games we play and their names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners; we’re a fan community, not an official representative of any game or studio.
Information we collect
Community & account information
If you leave a comment or interact with parts of the site, we may store a display name or username you provide. We do not create password-based logins for the public. If we ever offer the ability to sign in to the site, it will be through trusted third-party providers such as Discord or Google, which handle their own security (including two-factor authentication). In that case we never see or store your password — only a basic profile (such as a username) shared by that provider.
Store purchases
If you buy a physical product from our store, we collect the information needed to fulfil and ship your order — typically your name, email, and shipping/contact details. We do not collect or store your full payment-card numbers. All card and payment processing is handled by third-party payment processors (such as PayPal or Stripe), who process your payment on their own secure systems under their own privacy policies.
Donations
Donations are processed through a third-party donation/payment processor. As with the store, we never see or store your card details — we may receive only a name and the fact that a donation was made.
Technical & usage information
Like almost every website, our hosting, security and content-delivery providers (including Cloudflare, which sits in front of our site) automatically log basic technical data — such as IP address, browser type and pages requested — to keep the site running, secure and fast. WordPress and WooCommerce also set functional cookies needed for things like your shopping cart and session. We don’t use this data to build advertising profiles of you.
What we do not collect
- No passwords. We don’t run a password database for public accounts.
- No full payment-card details. Those live only with our payment processors.
- No unnecessary personal data. We don’t ask for sensitive information, and we don’t sell your data — ever.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we actually need it:
- Order & shipping details are kept only long enough to fulfil, ship and support your order, and are deleted within 90 days of the order being completed — unless a longer period is required by law (for example, basic tax or accounting records).
- Community information (like a comment name) is kept while it’s relevant, and removed on request.
How we protect it
The limited data we do hold is stored securely and encrypted in transit, and access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but by holding as little as possible we keep your exposure to a minimum.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make the site work, and only as needed:
- Payment processors (e.g. PayPal, Stripe) to take payment.
- Shipping / fulfilment partners to deliver physical products.
- Discord / Google, only if you choose to sign in through them.
- Hosting & security providers (e.g. our web host and Cloudflare) to operate and protect the site.
Each of these has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
Your choices & rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and we’ll help. Because we store so little and delete order data quickly, most requests are simple. To make a request, contact us or reach out in our Discord.
Children
Our community and store are not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our site or services change. When we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date above.
